Foremate ("the App") is a field service companion application developed by Foremate ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information. The short version: your data stays on your device.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

Foremate does not collect, transmit, or process any of the following:

• Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
• Location data or GPS coordinates
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Usage analytics or behavioral data
• PDF documents or manuals you import
• Client information or service records
• Photos taken with the nameplate OCR feature
• Search queries or questions asked to the knowledge base

3. Local Data Storage

All data created and used by Foremate is stored exclusively on your device:

• PDF Documents: Imported manuals and technical documents are stored in the app's local storage and indexed on-device.
• Knowledge Base Index: The AI-powered search index is built and maintained locally on your device.
• Client & Asset Records: ServiceLog data including clients, assets, and service history are stored in a local database on your device.
• OCR Results: Photos processed by the nameplate OCR feature are analyzed on-device. No images are transmitted externally.
• App Preferences: Settings and preferences are stored locally.

4. On-Device AI Processing

Foremate's AI features, including the RAG-powered knowledge base and nameplate OCR, run entirely on your device. No data is sent to external AI services, cloud APIs, or third-party processors. All inference happens locally using on-device machine learning models.

5. No Cloud Dependency

Foremate does not require an internet connection to function. The App is designed as an offline-first application, meaning all core features work without any network connectivity. There are no cloud servers storing your data, no sync services, and no remote databases.

6. No Third-Party Services

Foremate does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not use:

• Google Analytics or Firebase Analytics
• Advertising SDKs or ad networks
• Crash reporting services that transmit data externally
• Social media tracking pixels
• Any form of user behavior tracking

7. Data Backup & Export

Your data may be included in device-level backups (iCloud Backup, Google Backup) if you have those services enabled on your device. This is managed by your device's operating system, not by Foremate. You can control this through your device's backup settings.

Foremate provides data export functionality that saves files directly to your device's local storage, allowing you to maintain your own backups.

8. Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over it:

• Delete individual records, documents, or clients at any time within the App
• Uninstalling the App removes all associated data from your device
• Use the App's "Clear All Data" option in Settings to erase all app data without uninstalling

9. Children's Privacy

Foremate is a professional tool designed for field service technicians and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children, as we do not collect information from any users.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Our core commitment to local-only data storage and zero data collection will not change.
